Lillian Smith Bagley passed away November 23, 2016 at the Overlook Community in Charlton, Mass.  Lillian was born in Brockton, MA on June 10, 1925, daughter of Isabel Pike Smith and Clarence Smith.  She grew up in West Bridgewater, graduating from Howard High School in 1943.  After graduation, she worked at the Brockton Edison Company until June 22, 1947 when she married Everett E. Bagley at St. Paul’s Episcopal Church in Brockton. In 1952 the couple moved to New Jersey where Everett began his 25-year career as a chemical engineer with the E.I. duPont Company.  Lillian attended the Ridgewood Business School and began working at Congolium Nairn in New Jersey as an Executive Secretary.  Their son, Jeffrey Kendall Bagley, was born in New Jersey and soon afterwards they were transferred to Parkersburg, West Virginia and later to Kinston, North Carolina and finally to Wilmington, Delaware where they lived until Everett’s retirement in 1988. While in Delaware, Lillian worked as a branch manager for the First Federal Savings and Loan.  Her major interest was in her family and home.  She was a loving wife and mother.  She was a gracious hostess, talented needleworker and enjoyed time in her garden wherever her family made their home. Lillian and Everett built their retirement home in the Hatchville section of Falmouth on Cape Cod and later moved to the Masonic Overlook Community in Charlton, MA. At each of their home communities she and Everett were active in the Episcopal Church.  She volunteered as a hospital volunteer and joined local garden clubs.  She was a member of the Eastern Star and was a long-time member of the Quota Club. Lillian is survived by her husband of 69 years, Everett E. Bagley, her son Jeffrey K.
