Tim
He fell out of a van
with a beer in his hand
-never spilt so much as a drop
Came up from the ground
with some cuts -but no frown
Said, "I take it, this is my stop"
He set himself on fire
on more than one occasion
-often as the victim
to the powers of persuasion
And on the night of That fire,
Tim braved up real good
Tight lipped and stupid
-like the rest of the hood
We all had our worries,
but Tim stood his ground
"I don't know nothing,
Don't push me around."
Tim was alright
-for a neighbourhood kid
We felt out the world,
and did what we did.

Dear Tim, I know we were not that close. We grew up in the same hood, ran in the same circles and knew all the same people. we shared a few laughs together and always had a kind word for each other. I remember when you were this skinny little thing from the col. bell crew. never caused any drama., always one of the good ones. so sorry to see you go, but I will meet you again in that big park party in the sky brother. rest in peace my friend.
