Pastor and Mrs. Armstrong, please accept my prayers and sympathy in Alicia's passing. 45 years ago, I was a foster kid and you folks reached out to me. Suffice it to say that now I know that the Lord Jesus used your family in my life! I would like to catch up. Finally, the biggest hugs and prayers for your entire family.

Our deepest sympathy to all the family on the passing of Alicia. We cannot help but remember her smile as she became a member of Calvary Baptist Church NYC. We pray for comfort and we know we'll see her smile again when we'll all be in God's presence. What a hope!

I send my deepest sympathy and prayers for God's perfect peace and grace to be upon the Free family -- and especially Meredith who has been accepted into the art program here at Gordon College. I met Alicia when she and Meredith attended a talk and exhibit of mine at Cairn University -- and was immediately struck by her gracious and intelligent presence -- a woman of God with a deep heart and kind manner. I am so very sorry for your loss -- and only wish that I could have had many conversations with Alicia. I will be praying for you all.

Please accept our heartfelt sympathies at the passing of your daughter. We all think that the later years of life bring easier days, but we're all thankful for God's sufficient grace. May God uphold you with His arms of comfort. - Steve Day
Our memories of Alicia speaking at the Ladies meetings showed her Joy in the Lord, her Love for God and Jesus, her Love for the Word of God, the Grace of God thru life's trials, and her Faith and Trust that God be with her thru it all. Our hearts are sadden about her sudden leaving this world but what excitement, wonder, and joy she experienced when she met her Lord and Savior. Love and Prayers, Vicki Day

We were saddened to hear of the home going of you daughter. In reading her short bio and talking to you the other day she leaves behind a wonderful legacy of a beautiful Christian lady. May the Lord give you folks and your extended family His peace that passes all understanding that we have preached all these years.

I met Alicia at Simmons College during our freshman year, when we both lived on the second floor of Evans Hall. Although we had different majors, her reputation as a woman with a fine and thoughtful intellect preceded our acquaintance. In person she was down-to-earth and unpretentious, with a fine sense of humor as well. Alicia was widely known and respected for her thoughtfulness, for her intellect, and for her unwavering kindness.
Alicia's wedding seems like yesterday to me--I remember how excited she was to begin her life with Scott, and how strong her faith was. While I attended her lovely wedding, we lost touch, and I am sad to have never gotten to know the amazing family that she loved and nurtured. My deepest condolences go out to Scott and the entire Free family. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
In sympathy,
Julie Welch-Bucceri

Lighting a candle for a dear friend...one who was the exact definition of what the Lord calls us to be...Alicia was so many things right with this world, she was so many things we are all called to be but could only hope to achieve.
She has always been such a blessing to me, always encouraging and kind and faithful to Lord in all she did.
When she spoke of her family she was always beaming with joy.
Alicia touched my heart and soul...encouraged me when I needed it, I'll never forget our talks and times filled with laughter, I only hope I can be the kind of blessing to others as she was to me.
With all my love and prayers for Scott, Austin, Julia and Meredith.

What can I say? So many memories ... TBC choir, working together on special music, ladies' meeting antics, New York trip, Quebec trip, Motel Francine, the spy/detective parties, and the list goes on ... and the more serious times, mulling over people's important decisions accompanied by ice cream. Alicia was always available to talk or pray. A beautiful person with the sweetest spirit. "Weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning." Ps. 30:5. May you all be surrounded by God's love at this time of loss.

My son John took piano lessons from Mrs. Free for years as well as years in church. She was my therapist, a wonderful friend and one of the kindest people I have ever had the privilege to know. She will be missed terribly.
My love to the entire family. Love, Mrs. Ruth Shaw a From Temple Baptist.

every time her name is mentioned my heart gets heavy and my chest begins to hurt. I can still hear her voice at church walking towards me saying, "Hello, dear friend; I need a hug." So glad I was there multiple times to give and receive hugs from such a precious saint.
