Yvonne M. Garrett-Singleton

Rev. Yvonne M. Garrett-Singleton, 69, of Brockton, Massachusetts passed away on January 4, 2021 after failing health. Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania on June 9, 1951 to Ernest A. Garrett Sr. and Dorothy (Souser) Garrett, she was raised there and graduated from John W. Hallahan Catholic Girls’ High School in 1969. In 1975 she accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior and from then on advanced her ministry with her license in 1977, and her Evangelist ordination in 1979. As part of the Mt. Sinai Holy Churches of America she became an Elder in 2013 under her husband Rev. Otis Singleton at Mt. Sinai Holy Church in Taunton. She continued his pastoral leadership there in recent years. Yvonne resided in Brockton from 1990 to 2021 coming from Quincy, Massachusetts. She was retired from employment as a medical laboratory technician at Beth Israel and Brigham and Women’s Hospitals in Boston after many years at both landmark medical centers. After losing both her husband Otis and her son Otis Jarel Singleton in 2020 she has begun her eternal life now. Yvonne leaves a host of relatives and friends in many states. All are welcome to calling hours Saturday, January 16, 2021 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, Massachusetts with her funeral service at 2 p.m. [Covid Protocol] Her extended family will have a funeral service at Clarence Johnson Jr. Funeral Home in Yeadon, Pennsylvania and she will be interred at Rolling Green Memorial Park in West Chester, Pennsylvania.
