Winifred L. (May) Hadges, 90, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away on September 16, 2025. She was the daughter of the late Ara and Ruth (Thomas) May. Winnie was a 1952 graduate of Brockton High School and was devoted to her family and home.
A longtime member of the Brockton Country Club, Winnie was an avid golfer and enjoyed reading, gardening, playing cards, and watching football as a big Tom Brady fan. She was known for her bold and unique personality as well as her love for fashion.
Winnie was the wife of the late James E. Hadges; loving mother of Christina Hadges and her husband Ron Valcourt of Raynham, Lauren Hadges-Doyle of Brockton, Dena Hadges-Duarte of Brockton, and the late Michele “Mickey” Hadges; dear grandmother of Sophie Doyle, and Alexander and Nicholas Duarte; sister of Bruce May of Bridgewater and the late Mary Ellen "Dolly" Wass; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.
