William H. Allen

William H. “Bill” Allen, 78, of East Bridgewater, passed away on February 11, 2020. Born in Brockton, he was the son of the late Victor H. and Agnes V. (Carlson) Allen. He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and worked at General Dynamics Shipyard in Quincy as a rigger for many years until retirement. Devoted to his faith, he was a member of Calvary Baptist Church in Hanson. Bill was the beloved husband of Janet E. (Elliott) Allen for 47 years; stepfather of Richard Thrasher Jr. of Halifax, Kathleen McLaughlin and her husband Michael of Brockton, Diane Seay of Brockton, and Janet Lawson of Avon; grandfather of 7; great-grandfather of 6; brother of Edward Allen of Florida and the late Charlotte Griswold; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews.
