Webert Etienne

Webert Etienne, 74, of Brockton, passed away on July 19, 2021. Born in Port-Au-Prince, Haiti, he was the son of the late Albert Etienne and Elermise Cheri. Webert was an entrepreneur, working for the Park Plaza Hotel in housekeeping, he also owned a restaurant for many years, “Chez Dedette”, named after his cherished wife Claudette. He was a people person, enjoying evenings dining out, going to the casino, listening to music, and attending parties. Always supportive and loyal to his family, Webert was generous with his love and attention. His sensitive and caring nature enriched the lives of everyone he met, including being a loving foster parent along with his wife. He had an expensive taste for high end fashion and fast European cars such as BMW’s and was always dressed to the nines.

Webert was the beloved husband of 41 years to Claudette Xavier; loving father of Barbara of New Bedford, Freddy of Brockton, Webertson of Brockton, and Christian of Haiti; devoted grandfather of Fredayna, Michael, Malikay, Javien, McKenzie, Kayden, and Nicolas; dear brother of Guirlene Jean Baptiste, Rosamene Etienne Dejoie, Precienne Etienne Joseph, Marie Etienne Delouis; brother-in-Law of Ernst Jean Baptiste, Michel Dejoie, Jean Max Delouis; cousin of Recilia Cheri, Beatrice Hertilien  and family Penel Cheri; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews, including Micky Dejoie and family, Carmelle Hogart, Nadege Etienne and family, Stephanie Paillant, Erlene Jean Baptiste, Sarah Delouis, Soleil Delouis.

All are welcome to his Memorial Mass on Saturday, July 31, 2021 at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton and his Celebration of Life from 1-6 p.m. at The Lantana, 43 Scanlon Dr., Randolph, MA 02368.
