Walter F. Gagnon

Walter F. Gagnon, 73, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away Oct. 8, 2018. A son of the late Gladys and Alphonse Gagnon, Walter graduated from Brockton High School and served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War. For 33 years he was employed by the City of Brockton in Utilities until retiring in 1999. He actively supported veterans’ causes. Walter was a beloved father figure to his niece Susan Gagnon who cared for him and his late nephew Andrew Gagnon; and has helped Susan raise her children as if they were his own: Sara, Sasha and Soul Gagnon. He was the brother of Alphonse Gagnon and the late Mary Gagnon and Gloria Easton. All are welcome to calling hours Saturday Oct. 13 from 12 noon to 2 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. Cremation and private committal.
