Viviane Bordes, 71, of Brockton, passed away on January 22, 2024. Born in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Maurice and Marie Eltia (Louis) Bordes. Viviane worked as a nursing assistant for many years until her retirement.
Viviane was the beloved mother of Edwige (Deena) Simon and Mike Jonas; loving grandmother of Donna Eltia Leon, Donnel Dimitry Leon, Lashaun Kirkland, Nyekhi Levesque, and Milani Kassidy Jonas; sister of Imacula Bordes, Gertrude Bordes, Magela Bordes, Renee Louis, Merite Bordes, Joseph Bordes, Frantz Bordes, Eric Bordes, Eddie Bordes, Island Bordes, Lesly Bordes, and Yolene (Joachim) Bordes; aunt of Merline "Chyna" and Runnia Joelle; sister in law of Rolande (Mme Bibi); aunt of nieces Maguy and Julie Constant, Helene Fandal, Belota and Jennifer Lamerique, Magdala Bordes, Charlene Charles, Carole Fandal and nephews Herby Borde, Noldy Faustin, Edouard Bordes, Vladimir LaMerique, Xang Bordes, Marc Aurel Bordes. She also leaves behind great-nieces and great-nephews to mourn her passing.
All are welcome to visitation Fri., Feb. 9th from 9-11 a.m., followed by an 11 a.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton. Live streaming of Viviane’s funeral will begin at 10 a.m.
