Vivian Lee Reed

The Family of Vivian L. Reed would like to acknowledge the passing of their beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and aunt. Vivian passed at her home while in hospice care after a lengthy illness.

Vivian was born in Hong Kong on 29 April 1960 and attended St. Margaret School for Girls in Kowloon, Hong Kong. She came to the United States in 1977 and graduated from Charlestown High School. She met her husband Hollis while she was employed as a waitress and later owned and operated Holly and Vivian's Seafood together. She and Hollis were married on 16 July 1978 and enjoyed almost forty-four years of marriage.

While they were married, they had two daughters Annemarie and Nancy. Annemarie Reed Hall married to William S. Hall of Taunton, MA; they have two daughters, Sophia and Alessandra; and Nancy Le married to Peter Le of Bridgewater, MA; they are parents to four children, Miya, Lily, Peter (PJ), and Jack. Vivian had two sisters, Julia of Chelmsford, MA, Juliana and her husband Holly of Natick, MA, and a brother Patrick and his wife Cheri of N. Andover, MA; and was loved by her many nieces and nephews. Vivian passed peacefully at 9:16 a.m. 22 May 2022.

Vivian was a devoted and selfless mother to her two daughters and was a doting Nana to her six grandchildren, and loved her time spent with them. She enjoyed family gatherings and shopping trips. 

 All are welcome to her memorial calling hours Tuesday, May 31st from 5-7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton. The family has requested that memorial gifts be directed to Dana-Farber Cancer Institute in Vivian’s name. Floral arrangements are welcome.
