Virginia Mary “Ginny” (Flynn) Brady, age 79, of Brockton, passed peacefully surrounded by her loving family on October 2, 2026. Born on December 5, 1946, Ginny was the beloved daughter of the late John J. Flynn and Monica J. (Grant) Flynn. A lifelong resident of Brockton, she graduated from Brockton High School in 1964, where she met the love of her life, Daniel Bernard Brady. Ginny and Dan recently celebrated sixty years of marriage on September 10, a milestone marked by deep devotion, partnership, and faith.
Ginny was the cherished mother of Jennifer Ann Brady and Daniel Joseph Brady, and the adored grandmother of Alexandria Arlyce Almeida, who lovingly called her “Buddie.” She was the sister of Monica “Moni” Armstrong of West Bridgewater and her late husband, George, and John J. “Buddy” Flynn and his wife, Fran, of Florida. She leaves behind many nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and great-great-nieces and nephews, all of whom she loved dearly. Ginny was also the devoted godmother of Jacqueline Tolosko, Kathleen Brady, and Linda Azanow.
For most of her career, Ginny worked as an office manager, including many years with CES of Stoughton and Drywall Limited of Canton. After retiring from office work, she enjoyed a second career as a cashier at Stop & Shop in Brockton, where she worked until 2023 and formed lasting friendships with coworkers and customers alike.
A woman of profound and unwavering faith, Ginny was a lifelong communicant of St. Edith Stein Parish (St. Edward’s Church) in Brockton, where she was baptized in 1946. She received all her sacraments at St. Edward’s, including the sacrament of marriage in 1966. Over the years, she served her parish community as a CCD teacher and Eucharistic Minister, roles she cherished deeply. Her love for Jesus guided every part of her life.
Ginny enjoyed simple, meaningful pleasures: playing cribbage, spending summers on Cape Cod with extended family, and doting on her beloved cat, Muffit.
Ginny’s legacy is one of faith, devotion, and quiet, enduring love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all whose lives she touched.
