Veronica S. (Trotman) Philbert, 75, of Brockton, passed away on October 31, 2019. Born in San Fernando, Trinidad, she was the daughter of the late Jeremiah and Eileen (Wade) Trotman. Veronica had made a home for herself in Houston, Texas, having spent over 10 years there. She had worked in computer operations for Channel 2 for many years and enjoyed web browsing, playing bingo, and going to the casino. She was an exceptional cook and hostess, always welcoming family and friends into her home. “Vero”, as she was affectionately called, was the wife of the late Alfred Philbert; beloved mother of Debra Philbert-Olufemi of Brockton and Avianne Philbert of Randolph; loving grandmother of Jeremy Philbert-Lesse, Kylan Philbert-Richardson, and Olatunde Philbert-Olufemi; dear sister of Esther King, Cynthia Bostick, Leon M. Trotman, Samuel Trotman, Stephen Trotman, Stephanie Trotman, Hazel Mends, Ruthwin Trotman, Camilla Trotman, and Ural Trotman. Vero also leaves a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins. All are welcome to her funeral service on Saturday, November 9th at 9 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, with visitation in the funeral home beginning at 8 a.m. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery.
