Tony Sostre Jr., 19, of Brockton, passed away tragically in an auto accident on Sunday, December 12, 2021. Tony was a student at Brockton High School and had worked at Pet Supplies Plus in Brockton. He was a gamer who loved cars and also enjoyed fishing and camping.
Tony was spirited and found humor in everything. He was a jokester and always made everyone laugh, even at the most inappropriate times. You could always find him lending a hand to anyone in need. Tony was outgoing and charismatic, a trait that led to numerous friendships made throughout his life. He was beautiful and bright and could light up a dim room with his smile. Although his family is heartbroken, Tony’s legacy will live on through the hearts and minds of all that knew him.
Tony was the cherished son of Tony Sostre and Janelyn Escobar; beloved brother of Chloe and Xavier; loving grandson of Migdalia and Tony Sostre Sr. of Avon, and Lourdes Lopez and Manuel Escobar of Boston. Tony also leaves many aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends, who loved him dearly.
All are welcome to walk-through calling hours Friday, December 17th from 2-9 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, his funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Saturday, December 18th at 8:30 a.m., funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 400 Dudley St., Roxbury, and burial at St. Michael Cemetery, 500 Canterbury St., Roslindale. Facemasks are required for the wake and funeral Mass.
