Tina Gardina Obituary

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Tina (Martin) Gardina, who passed away October 16th after a courageous decade-long battle with Scleroderma. Tina was born in Bourne and raised in Brockton, eventually settling in Wareham, MA, where she built a beautiful life with her beloved husband of 37 years, Jerry Gardina. Together, they shared the kind of love people dream of—an unbreakable bond, filled with unconditional support, laughter, and deep affection.

Tina is survived by her two children, Nicole Lane (husband Casey), and Anthony Gardina. She was the proud and loving Nana of Logan and Tyler Lane, whose lives she touched in immeasurable ways. Tina was predeceased by her parents, Sadie and Richard Martin, and her brother Ricky Martin. She is survived by five siblings, Fred Martin (late wife Lynn), Darlene Love (husband Wade), Loriann Sullivan (husband Tom), Cindy Martin (partner Todd), Denise Gardner, and her best friend Mary Healy who was like a sister to her.

Tina was an avid sports fan who loved cheering on all of the Boston teams. She was deeply involved in her children's sports, spending countless summers volunteering her time at Downey Little League, where her kids played. More than anything, Tina cherished her time with family. Whether it was at home or traveling to visit her loved ones—especially her grandsons—family was always at the center of her heart.

Despite enduring constant pain, Tina never complained and always maintained a positive outlook on life. Her resilience, strength, and unwavering determination were an inspiration to all who knew her. She faced countless tests and procedures with grace and courage, and her family is immensely proud of how she handled every challenge with a smile.

A celebration of life will be held Saturday, October 26 at The Bridgewater Vets Club, 85 Cottage St., Bridgewater, MA 02324 from 1-5 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to the Scleroderma Research Foundation in Tina's honor, so that others may one day be spared the pain of this devastating disease.
