Thomas R. Fernberg, 71, a lifelong resident of Brockton, died peacefully in his sleep on October 1, 2026. A 1973 graduate of Brockton High School, he worked for Teradyne for many years, and while working there, earned a bachelor’s degree from Suffolk University. He later worked for Guardian Insurance Company until retirement.

Tom was the beloved son of Marie “Chickie” (Morrissey) Fernberg and the late Thomas P. Fernberg; loving brother of Timothy Fernberg and his wife Robyn of Bridgewater and Kristen Pleach and her husband Walter of Raynham; cherished uncle of Evan Fernberg, Jordan Fernberg, Kathryn Pleach, and Daniel Pleach; and a nephew, cousin, and friend of many.
