Teresa M. (Sabina) Nachtman

Teresa M. (Sabina) Nachtman, 70, of Brockton, passed away peacefully on May 2, 2023. Born in Pogorzelice, Poland, she was the daughter of the late Jan and Maria (Stolecka) Sabina. Teresa immigrated to the U.S. in 1964, living in Abington for a short while before settling in Brockton. She was a 1970 graduate of Brockton High School.

Teresa was a claims specialist for 34 years for Aetna/Travelers until her retirement. She was a fabulous cook and baker, making delicious Polish cuisine for all to enjoy. She also loved gardening. Teresa was a true friend and advocate and was the best grandmother to her four grandchildren.

Teresa was the beloved wife of Darek Nachtman for 50 years; loving mother of Aneta Nachtman-Lobo and her husband Jose “J.J.” Lobo of Brockton and the late Przemek Nachtman; devoted grandmother of Samantha Nachtman, and Evan, Gavin, and Talia Lobo; sister of Jan Z. Sabina (and the late Halina), and the late Gene M. Sabina; and an aunt of Bozena, Darek, Christopher, and Mark Sabina.

All are welcome to calling hours Monday, May 8th from 4-7 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, her funeral from Waitt Funeral Home Tuesday, May 9th at 9 a.m., funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Patrick Church, 335 Main St., Brockton, and burial at Calvary Cemetery, 95 N. Cary St., Brockton. Live streaming of Teresa's wake and funeral Mass will be available.
