Susan Jean (Borthwick) Urbani

Susan Jean Urbani, 73, of Estero, Florida, was born and raised in Arlington, Massachusetts, and passed away on November 2, 2025. She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 40 years, Larry Urbani, and by her parents, Harry and Jean Borthwick. She worked for nearly 40 years at John Hancock and retired as a Senior Consultant.

Like her mother, Sue loved to sing and shared her gift through performances with her community choir. She also loved swimming and playing Wii bowling with her friends at the Cascades, where she enjoyed laughter, friendship, and community. Sue and her granddaughters shared a love for Harry Potter. 

Susan was a loving stepmother and is survived by her stepchildren, Rob (Jen) Urbani and Beth Urbani Najjar; a devoted "Grammie" to her grandchildren, Brianna (Corey) Melville, Bella Najjar, and Alex Urbani; her great-grandson, Ashton Melville; and her brothers, Paul (Christie) Borthwick and Scott (Donna) Borthwick, and sister in law to Robert Urbani; along with many nieces, nephews, and lifelong friends who will miss her dearly. You truly were one of a kind. 

Family and friends are welcome to a graveside service on Thursday, December 4th (Susan's birthday) at 10:30 a.m. at Calvary Cemetery, 95 North Cary St., Brockton, MA 02302.
