Susan G. (Mariani) Lawcewicz, 88, of Brockton, passed away peacefully at home with family by her side under hospice care on Sept. 9, 2021. She was a lifelong resident of Brockton, daughter of the late Andrew and Ida (Howland) Mariani. Susan was a graduate of Brockton Academy of Beauty Culture and practiced hairdressing for many years. She and her late husband, Ralph V. Lawcewicz, owned the Mallard Cafe for 28 years where Susan’s pizza was in great demand. She enjoyed her home, her pets and doing puzzles. In her final years, Susan was lovingly cared for by her family, particularly her devoted granddaughter, Lindsay Lawcewicz and the wonderful staff of Accent Care Hospice Foundation.
She was the loving mother of Daniel Lawcewicz (and partner Lisa Lodge) of Avon, Gary Lawcewicz of Brockton and the late Ralph Lawcewicz Jr.; the devoted Nana of Courtney Camacho (and Jose) of Rhode Island, Daniel Lawcewicz, Jr. (Jennifer) of Vermont, Lindsay Lawcewicz of Brockton, Ashley Lawcewicz of Malden, Jordan Lawcewicz of Hanover and Tayla Lawcewicz of North Easton, and devoted great-grandmother of Cole Camacho, Zachary and Hailey Lawcewicz, Reese Collins, and Bella and Ava Georges; sister of Joanne Chubbuck of West Bridgewater and the late Betty Carchia, Dorothy Bergeron, Barbara Duquette, and Edward and Jack Mariani; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to calling hours Tuesday Sept. 14th from 4 to 8 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, her funeral service on Wednesday, Sept. 15th at 10:30 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
