Susan A. (Mills) Clancy, 67, of Brockton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on September 12, 2023. A native of Braintree, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Mills and Carol (Hogan) DelVecchio.
Primarily dedicated to her family and home, she had a deep love for her children and grandchildren. Susan was a longtime well-known waitress, first working at TipTop and George’s Restaurants in Brockton and in recent years at D’Ann’s Restaurant in Abington for many years until her illness. She was kind and gentle, always helping people and had a great love for all children. She enjoyed painting, woodworking, baking cookies, playing bingo, and trips to the casino, especially Twin River and Plain Ridge.
Susan was the beloved wife of John E. Clancy Jr. for 43 years; loving mother of John E. Clancy III (Rachel) of Wrentham, Matthew Clancy (Keri) of Brockton, and Angela Clancy of Wrentham; devoted Nana of Charlotte, Declan, Cole, Harper, Addison, and Brynn; dear sister of William Mills of Dorchester, Michael Mills of Taunton, Eric DelVecchio (Cori) of Braintree, Terri Hale, and the late Edward Mills; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. Susan also leaves her grand dogs Coral and Reef.
All are welcome to calling hours Sun., Sept. 17th from 1-4 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, her funeral service Mon., Sept. 18th at 10 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Blue Hill Cemetery, Braintree.
