Susan K. (Yarmalavich) Boroskas, 101, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away Feb. 20, 2021 at St. Joseph Manor. A daughter of the late Richard and Apolonija (Vervecka) Yarmalavich, she was a graduate of Brockton High School and had worked at various places. Sue was instrumental in the building of and an active communicant at St. Casimir Church, then in recent years at St. Michael Church in Avon; and she was a proud officeholder of Knights of Lithuania, both locally of Council 1 and nationally.
Susan was the wife of the late Adam Boroskas; beloved mother of Mary (and Frederick “Buzzy”) Carleton and Constance (and the late Anthony) Grein, all of Brockton, and Michael (and Susan) Boroskas of NH; loving grandmother of Adam Carleton, Kathryn Hilmar (and Shawn), Anthony Grein (and Lisa), Suzanne Geary (and Brian), Adam Grein (and Mary Jane), David Grein (and Maria), Michael Grein, Kara Tait (and Jason), Thomas Grein, Amy Connolly, and Adam Boroskas; great-grandmother of many; and the dear sister of the late Amelia “Amy” Yarmalavich.
All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday 5-7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, her funeral Thursday at 9:30 a.m. from Waitt Funeral Home followed by funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in St. Michael Church, Avon and burial at Calvary Cemetery. Covid protocol of face masks, social distancing and occupancy limits required.
