Stephen F Munro of West Bridgewater, passed away unexpectedly on September 7th, while fishing off the coast of Plymouth, MA. Originally from Brockton, Steve was born on December 6, 1960 to John A. and Ann M. (Solomita) Munro. He was a graduate of Brockton High School and went on to earn a B.S. in Psychology. He was owner of the renowned gym “Bay State Bodybuilding” in Brockton, and was a mentor to many members there.
Steve was a devout Roman Catholic who loved the outdoors. He embraced the experiences of fishing and hunting, bringing him to an even deeper appreciation of God’s creation. He loved his family, his many friends, all animals, and most of all, his son Max.
His days mostly started hours before sunrise and in his remarkable personality, his thoughts were dominated by intentions to help everyone around him over himself. Steve was incredibly mechanically inclined and skilled in too many trades to list here.
Steve was father to his son Max S. Munro of Gainesville, FLA, brother to his sisters Diane (Munro) Visser and her husband Thomas of Bridgewater, Susan (Munro) Adams and her late husband Stephen of Middleboro, brothers Paul Munro and his wife Linda (Pieroni) Munro of Marshfield and the late Thomas V. Munro and his wife Denise Huxley-Munro of Kingston. Steve also leaves behind his nieces and nephews Shannon, Andrea, Ellen, Lauren, Jonathan, Zachary, Christopher and Ryan.
All are welcome to calling hours Wednesday September 13th from 5 to 8 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton.
