Stephanie Delphonse, 28, of Brockton, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on May 1, 2023 after a courageous battle with Leukemia. Born in Cayes, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Carline and Pierre B. Delphonse. Stephanie was adopted by her aunt Francoise at 3 months old and raised her as a daughter.
Stephanie was a kind and gentle person, making friends wherever she went. She had big dreams and aspirations, and despite her illness, was hopeful for her future. Stephanie loved cooking, especially her famous Haitian patties, which were delicious. She loved doing hair and makeup and never missed an opportunity to style her mother Francoise, dressing her up in the most fashionable clothes. Stephanie was a thoughtful person and cared for others deeply.
Stephanie was the beloved granddaughter of Maculanie Delphonse of Brockton; cherished niece of uncles Fritz Delphonse of NY, Roosevelt Delphonse of FL, Jean Francois Delphonse of Raynham, Leonard Fortuné of Haiti, Pachou Fortuné of Haiti, aunts Nicole Delphonse of NY, Marie Claude Delphonse of NY, Francoise Delphonse of Brockton, Simone Delphonse of Brockton, Natacha Fortuné of Florida, and Guerline Fortuné of Haiti; and a loving cousin and friend of many from NY, FL, and Montreal.
All are welcome to visitation Thursday, May 11th from 9-10 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton, her funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. in Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton, and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton. Livestreaming of Stephanie’s funeral will begin at 10:30 a.m.
