Stanley W. “Bucky” Gould, 84, a native and resident of Brockton for most of his life, passed away peacefully on June 13, 2021. A son of the late Edgar and Eleanor (O’Brien) Gould, he served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. Stanley spent many years working for the City of Brockton in various capacities for the Park, Sewer and Water Departments and finally as a Brockton Fire Fighter where he retired after 25 years. He loved the outdoors, enjoyed his hunting expeditions, fishing and most importantly tending to his gardens. He spent many summers camping in Bourne and winters in Florida. Stanley was the husband of the late Mary (Kelleher) Gould and Norma (Paquin) Shaw Gould; beloved father of Joanne Gould-Carroll (and her husband Mike Carroll) of Bridgewater and Stanley E. Gould of Franklin, NH. Stanley has spent the past few months living between his two children. Stanley was the loving grandfather known as "Bup" to his grandchildren Jason Carroll, Kristyn Samaras and Jamie Gould. He cherished and adored his great grandchildren, Aubrey & Caden Samaras, Blaze, Steele and Bindi Gould and was looking forward to another great grandson Griffen Carroll this summer. Brother of the late Cynthia Ruokis and Charles Gould, he is also survived by many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Thursday, June 24th from 10 a.m. to 12 noon at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton with his procession leaving for his committal and honors at 1:30 p.m. at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne.
