Shawn Benoit Guillemette, 59, of Brockton, passed away August 22, 2026 after a lengthy illness. Shawn was born in Brockton, a son of Bette A. (Guillemette) and William G. Donahue and was a 1985 graduate of Brockton High School.
He earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in history with a psychology minor from Bridgewater State College and his Master of Education degree in counseling psychology and psychological studies from Cambridge College. Shawn was a licensed social worker for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, an avid world traveler and animal lover. He had a thirst for knowledge and loved to read.
In addition to his parents, Shawn is survived by a brother Kevin Donahue and his wife Mandi of Raynham, nephews Connor and Brady Donahue and niece Sophia Donahue, aunts including Barbara Blanchard of Pennsylvania, uncles, cousins and friends.
Per his request, services are private. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Animal Protection Center of Southeastern Massachusetts, 1300 West Elm St. Ext. Brockton MA 02301.
