Shaun C. Donovan, 40, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on May 8, 2024. Born in Stoughton, he was the beloved son of Christopher P. and Sandra M. (Reilly) Donovan of Raynham; dear brother of Lauren Suarez and her husband Alexander, loving uncle of Julian (his Godchild) and Leo Suarez, all of Raynham; cherished grandson of Patrica Reilly of Raynham and the late Robert Reilly and the late Doris and George Donovan; beloved nephew of Laurie and Michael Clark, Joseph and Kelly Reilly, Gregory and Nancy Donovan, and the late George T. Donovan, Kevin A. Donovan, James Donovan, Bryan “Barney” Donovan, William Donovan, Michael Donovan, Catherine Pelton, Kerry Donovan, John F. “Jay” Donovan, Denise Crocker, Elaine Cox, and Rosemary Rogan and all their spouses; he also leaves behind many cousins who will mourn his passing.
Shaun was a 2002 graduate of Brockton High School and attended Southeastern Regional Vocational Technical where he studied HVAC. He then became a licensed sheet metal worker for several companies, most recently for Finbar and was a member of Union Local 17. Shaun had a great sense of humor, notably making everyone laugh with his quick one-liners and was the life of any party.
Shaun was a great artist at sketching and drawing, he was also a skilled woodworker. He enjoyed motorcycle riding, landscaping, growing plants and flowers, and loved a good movie and milkshake. Shaun always rooted for the home team and was an avid New England Patriots and Boston Celtics fan. Most important to Shaun was his family and friends. Although he was hard to pin down, Shaun made each person he interacted with feel important and special.
Shaun was a very creative person who was always looking for his next venture. He was proud of his work accomplishments and was seen by many of his tradesmen as a leader. Now, Shaun joins family members and friends in eternity.
Following cremation, all are welcome to memorial calling hours on Thurs., May 16th from 12-3 p.m. with a 3 p.m. prayer service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Reception to follow at the Bertocci Club, 594 Montello St., Brockton from 4-7 p.m.
