Ruth A. (Cody) Alger

Ruth A. (Cody) Alger, 90, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away Sept. 26, 2022. A daughter of the late Mabel and John Cody, she was devoted to her family and home and had worked at Kresge’s and Coats-Fields stores. Ruth was a member of Brockton Area A.R.C. for over 50 years and enjoyed knitting and reading. She was the beloved wife of Clarence “Red” Alger for 71 years; loving mother of John Alger (Patricia) of Middleboro, Deborah Muldoon (the late Kevin) of Millis, and Linda of Brockton; grandmother of four; great-grandmother of 5; sister of the late Mary Litton, Margaret Walker, and John and Daniel Cody; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Friday, Sept. 30th from 4 to 7 p.m. and her funeral service Saturday, Oct. 1st at 10 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
