Rose Urmaine Ulysse, 87, of Bridgewater, passed away peacefully on June 29, 2025. She was born on February 2, 1938, in Aux Cayes, Haiti, daughter of the late Lizaite and Generose (Getant) Ulysse. At the age of 30, she moved to Port-au-Prince to continue building a life rooted in strength, love, and dedication.
She was the proud mother of three children: Natacha Smith, Franklin Cadet, and Jamille Cadet, who sadly passed away in 2003. Her legacy lives on through her many grandchildren: Laure Boralis, Huberson Boralis, Jully Fils, Jullyssa Fils, Naicha Dolne, Jasmithe Cadet, Jackendy Cadet, Catheline Cadet, Rosaline Cadet, Cageline Cadet, and Franciane Cadet.
Rose was also blessed with beautiful great-grandchildren: Deven L. Salomon, Lucie Cathrine Cadet, Allyssa Marie Cadet, Rose Nageline Pierre, and Cadet Maelo Jamendy.
A strong and hardworking woman, Rose dedicated her life to her family. She raised her children and grandchildren with care, grace, and unwavering love. She wasn’t just a mother—she was a truly wonderful grandmother whose warmth and wisdom touched every generation in her family. May her soul rest in eternal peace.
All are welcome to her funeral service on Thursday, July 10th at 10:30 a.m. at Brockton Temple Seventh-day Adventist Church, 235 Court St., Brockton, with viewing in the church beginning at 9:30 a.m. Burial to follow at St. Thomas Aquinas Cemetery in Bridgewater. Live streaming of Rose’s funeral will be available.
