Rose L. (Tonelli) Cummings

Rose L. (Tonelli) Cummings, 89, of Brockton, died peacefully at home on June 9, 2022. A lifelong resident, she raised five children before starting her career as a Social Director at Madrid Square planning many successful events. Her love of golf brought her to work in the clubhouse at Poquoy Brook, Heritage Hill, and White Pines. Driving for the PGA Tournaments was a highlight when she met Bobby Orr. Daughter of the late Edith (Niccoli) and Alfred Tonelli.

Sweetie is survived by her children, son Robert and wife Jacqui of Brockton, daughter Kathy Grillo of Maine, son Dennis and wife Chris of Carver, daughter Christine and friend Luce of Taunton, daughter Maggie and husband Kevin of Florida; and good friend David Sargeant. Known as Sweetie to eleven grandchildren and six great-grandchildren; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews. Sister of the late Gene Tonelli, Geraldine “Geri” Cummings, and Eleanor “Claire” Ferrini.

All are welcome to memorial calling hours Monday, July 11th from 5 to 7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. memorial service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Private burial. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Old Colony Hospice.
