Rosa Lee (Conyers) Lloyd, 89, of Brockton, MA, formerly of Boston, MA, passed away peacefully on September 18, 2023 at home surrounded by her family after a lengthy illness. A daughter of the late Setzer and Susan (Pringle) Conyers, she was born in Paxville, SC on October 15, 1933. Her early education was obtained in the public schools of Clarendon County. Rosa later went to LaBaron Beauty School in Boston where she received her license as a beautician. A natural caregiver, she worked as a C.N.A. in Boston for many years and later transported special needs children and adults for Carey Transportation in Brockton.
Rosa was a humble, faithful servant of Jehovah God for nearly 50 years and devoted much of her life to teaching and helping others learn about Jehovah which gave her great joy. She also believed in the resurrection and looks forward to the time when sickness and death will be a thing of the past. (Revelation 21:4) Rosa recognized her imperfections but always gave her very best! She was loving, warm, kind, and witty with an infectious laugh and beautiful smile. She relished the time spent with her daughters and grandchildren and pet dogs Madison and Sunji and enjoyed dancing, singing, dining and was an avid Celtics fan.
Rosa was the cherished wife of the late William Lloyd for almost 58 years; beloved mother of Carolyn Lloyd and Dareen Lloyd Martin of Brockton, MA; Charlene Lloyd Miller and her husband Shawn Vincent Miller of Tryon, NC; and Marilyn Conyers of Manning, SC; grandmother of Anthony Jerrod Lloyd of Randolph, MA; Evan Nathaniel Martin of Brockton, MA; Lee Conyers and Susan Conyers of Manning, SC; and the late Setzer Nakema Conyers; and great-grandmother of five. The passing of Rosa leaves a void to those whom she loved and cherished, including special niece Bernice McKinney of Union, NJ; several other nieces, nephews, and a host of other relatives and friends. Preceding her in death were her siblings: Miller Conyers Sr., Stratford Conyers, Leathia Texidor, Gladys Carnes, and Portia Cantey.
Respectfully, as per Rosa’s request, no funeral or memorial will be held.
