Ronald V. Undzis Sr.

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Ronald V. Undzis Sr., 80, who died January 12, 2025. A proud resident of Brockton, Ronald was a dedicated member of the Brockton Police Department, where he served with distinction.

Known for his quick wit and fierce spirit, Ronald was also a lifelong and passionate fan of Boston sports teams, often seen supporting his favorite players and sharing his enthusiasm with those around him.

Ronald was predeceased by his parents John Undzis Sr. and Rose Undzis. He leaves behind his beloved brother John “Jack” Undzis and his wife Shirley, and predeceased nephew Todd Undzis. His children Ron Undzis Jr., John Undzis, and Kate Messina & her husband Peter. “Ronnie” was a cherished grandfather to seven grandchildren Claire Undzis, David Undzis, Matilda Undzis, Austin Undzis, Emma Undzis, Matthew Messina, and Ryan Messina. His legacy will live on through his family and the many lives he touched throughout his life and career. Ronald V. Undzis Sr. will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

All are welcome to calling hours Thursday, January 23rd from 4-7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, his funeral service Friday, January 24th at 11:30 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton.
