Ronald H. Parkinson Sr., 70, of Avon, passed away Oct. 10, 2020 under hospice care after a lengthy illness. Born in Cambridge, he was a son of the late Howard Grover Parkinson and Rita (McPherson) Parkinson. Ron was a machinist by trade, working for Phillips Screw and Ward Machine for many years. He also cleaned offices at night for Stephco. He always was a hard worker and devoted family man. Ron had shared great memories from adventures with his late Uncle Leon. He enjoyed Vermont, the ocean, antique cars, music (especially Johnny Cash and the Beatles), and watching old television shows. Ron was the beloved husband of Christine (Pelaggi) Parkinson for 30 years; loving father of Ronald Parkinson Jr. and his wife Lee Ann of Middleboro, Debby Siamantouras and her husband Evan of Raynham, Debra Parkinson of Avon and Henry Parkinson of Avon; adored grandfather of Anthony, Skyla, Natalia, Eddie, Antonios, Demetra and Anastassia; dear brother of Joan Makos and her husband Stephen of Florida, Jean Parkinson of Brockton and the late Richard Parkinson and his late twin Robert Parkinson; and an uncle of many, including Rev. Jay Makos of Milton and Justin Makos of Plymouth. Following cremation, all are welcome to memorial calling hours Thursday, Oct. 15th from 6-8 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Face coverings are required and social distancing per Covid-19 protocol. His funeral and burial are private.
