Roger B. Sakells, 68, of Lakeville MA, passed away on June 24, 2026, after a brief illness. Roger was born on February 11, 1958 in Brockton MA to Sabino Philip Sakells and Louise May (Morse) Sakells. Roger was raised in Brockton and graduated from Brockton High School. He worked alongside his family at P & S Leather on Ames Street in Brockton during the thriving years of the shoe industry. For many years the family also enjoyed spending time together in Lakeville. Roger later dedicated more than two decades of his career to Bath Fitter where he worked from 2000 until his retirement in 2023. Along life’s journey he called many places home including Cape Coral and Holiday Florida before moving to Savannah Georgia. Roger married his loving husband, Eric Lewing, and together they built a life filled with love, laughter, and unwavering devotion.
In 2024 they moved to Lakeville to begin a new chapter in their life together. Roger found that he had a remarkable gift for cooking, and few things brought him greater happiness than preparing delicious meals for his family and friends. His home improvement projects reflected his creativity, patience, and generous spirt leaving lasting reminders of his love in every room he touched. His family, friends and beloved pets will forever cherish not only his incredible meals but also the warmth, comfort, and love he poured into everything he did.
Though his passing leaves an immeasurable void, Roger’s legacy lives on in the love he shared, the lives he enriched, and countless memories that will be treasured forever. He will deeply be missed, lovingly remembered, and forever held in the hearts of all who were blessed to know him and love him.
