Robert G. Ford

Robert G. Ford, 79, of Brockton for the past 50 years, passed away Sept. 26, 2023. Native of Jamaica Plain, he served in the U.S. Air Force during the Vietnam War. Bob worked as a beverage salesman for Cott’s, Canada Dry, Schweppe’s and Polar before retirement. He was active in civic affairs in Brockton and enjoyed traveling, Country and Irish music, and playing cribbage. Bob was the beloved husband of Christine M. (Carey) Ford for 50 years; loving father of Robert C. Ford and Maureen Joyce and her husband Mark, grandfather of Mark Joyce Jr. and Kasey Joyce, all of Plymouth; and brother-in-law of Patricia Dennehy of Dedham. All are welcome to calling hours Sunday Oct. 1 from 1 to 4 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, his funeral Tuesday Oct. 3 at 9:30 a.m. from the funeral home, funeral Mass at St. Edith Stein Parish at 10:30 a.m. and committal at Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne at 1:30 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to your favorite charity.
