Robert A. "Bob" LaPierre, age 65, of Brockton, Massachusetts, passed away peacefully on June 27, 2025, surrounded by his loving wife of 25 years, Andrea, and his two daughters, Jessica and Samantha, after a brave battle with cancer. Born on July 24th, 1959, in Stoughton, Massachusetts, Bob was the son of the late Paul and Alice LaPierre. He graduated from Southeastern Regional High School in 1977 and began a career in carpentry working for P & T Siding. In 1983 he started R.A. LaPierre Contracting and spent the following 42 years building a strong reputation in the Brockton and South Shore area.
Together for 35 years, Bob and Andrea created a home filled with warmth and love, with their most enjoyable times being spent as Pépère and Mémère to their 5 grandchildren. A man of deep integrity and quiet strength, Bob was known for his kindness, generous heart, unwavering work ethic, and love of Nascar. His fondest memories included summers spent in Falmouth with his life-long best friend, Ed Mareb, and trips to the Daytona 500 with his best friend, Alex Redman. His adoration and love for his daughters, Jessica and Samantha, was endless, with his single most favorite thing in the world being Pépère to their children. Nothing brought Bob more joy and pride than being with his grandchildren.
He is survived by his devoted wife Andrea of Brockton, MA; his children, Jessica Fontes and her husband Thomas of Easton, MA, Samantha Held and her husband Andrew of Kingston, MA; and his five cherished grandchildren: James, Aubrey, Thomas, Owen, and Brynn. He also leaves behind his dear friend and former wife, Maureen Bottorff (Andrew) of Lake Dallas, TX; his loving siblings Paul LaPierre (Susan) of Brockton, MA, Nancy Eaton (Robert) of East Bridgewater, MA, and Raymond LaPierre (Kellie) of Lakeville, MA; along with several nieces and nephews.
All are welcome to memorial calling hours on Monday, July 7th from 4-7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton and memorial service on Tuesday, July 8th at 11 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home.
