Robert "Bob" Arthur Daniloff, 84, of Bridgewater, formerly of Brockton, passed away peacefully on Jan. 1, 2024 after a brief illness. Born and raised in Brockton, a son of the late Walter and Alice (Boyd) Daniloff, he graduated from Brockton High School in 1958 and served in the U.S. Army until 1961. Bob was a retired Corrections Officer, working for 26 years at Walpole and Bridgewater facilities. He lived in Brockton until moving to High Pond Estates 8 years ago where he was active in their community. He was a member of the Bridgewater Vets Club for over 40 years.
A true outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, mushrooming, crabbing, shellfishing and gardening vegetables and flowers. Fishing was his true passion; whether it was trout fishing or ice fishing, he was truly a master of his craft! He loved sports, playing basketball and softball in the City of Brockton Cranberry League and winning several Championships in the 70's. Bob cheered on all of the New England sports teams, too. Bob loved playing cards, croquet, bocce and shuffleboard. Bob was very involved with his family, sharing his hobbies and always being there to support them.
Bob was the beloved husband of Claire M. (Tamulevicz) Daniloff for 60 years; loving father of Alicia Marando (& Richard) and Karen Hubbard (& Raymond), all of Abington, and Greg Daniloff (& Jenny) of Kumla, Sweden; dear grandfather of Cassandra & Katherine Marando, Tyler & Quinn Hubbard, and Viktoria & Emil Daniloff; brother of Judith Chestnut, Virginia Pickett & the late James, Fred and Patricia Daniloff. Uncle of many nieces and nephews. Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours Sunday, Jan. 7th from 12-3 p.m. with a closing prayer and military honors at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Private committal. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
