Robert F. Dennison

Robert F. Dennison, 85, of Brockton, passed away August 1, 2025. The son of the late Francis and Mildred (Lindquist) Dennison, he was raised in Canton on Bolivar and Mechanic Streets where he had a paper route. He graduated from Canton High School in 1958 and served honorably in the U.S. Air Force from 1958 to 1962. Bob earned an associate’s degree in engineering from Northeastern University in 1973. He was a carpenter by trade, honest and hardworking for over 40 years. Bob enjoyed western movies, music from the 1950’s, hunting, spending time with his family, meeting his friends for breakfast, playing poker and visiting the casino.

Bob was the beloved husband of Thalia “Betsy” (Anderson) Dennison since 1966, loving father of Karla Dennison (and Andrew Porciello) and David Dennison (and Elaine DeCastro), dear grandfather of Tyler and Emily Porciello and Colin and Markus Dennison.  He was predeceased by his sister, the late Jeane Clark; he also leaves a niece, nephew and many longtime friends.

All are welcome to calling hours Friday, August 8th from 2 to 4 p.m. and his 4 p.m. funeral service at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. His burial service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Tunnel2Towers or St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
