Robert Bickford, 66, of Middleboro for the past 20 years, formerly of Brockton, passed away on November 10, 2021. Born in Boston and raised in Whitman, he was a son of the late Harold and Claire Bickford. Robert served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War and with other military training and reserve service. He was a skilled auto mechanic, working for George’s Garage, Union Automotive, Stoughton Motor Mart, and Brockton Shell throughout the years.
Robert was the beloved fiancé of Linda J. Munroe for 32 years; loving brother of James M. Bickford of Brockton, and Uraina M. Perry and her husband Francis E. Perry Jr. of Brockton; uncle of Kristina M. Brito (and Mark) of R.I., and Matthew F. Perry of East Bridgewater; great-uncle of Piper and Hendrix Brito, and Harliee and Jackson Perry.
All are welcome to calling hours Wed., Nov. 17th from 5-7 p.m. with a 7 p.m. prayer service in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Funeral procession will gather at Waitt Funeral Home on Thurs., Nov. 18th at 12:15 p.m. for a 2 p.m. committal service at the Massachusetts National Cemetery, Bourne. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to the American Cancer Society.
