Richard F. Jope

Richard F. “Rick” Jope of North Port, FL & Felton, DE formerly of Randolph, passed July 4th, 2021. Rick was the loving husband of Harriet (Shaw) Jope, father of Richard Jope Jr. and wife Christine O’Brien, and Jessica Schmitz and husband Joseph Schmitz; Papa to Mikayla O’Brien, Liam Murphy, Richard Murphy, Joey Schmitz, Jace Schmitz, all of Henderson MD, Emma Jope and Sarah Jope of Holbrook, brother of Randy Jope of E. Freetown & the late Robert and Roger Jope. Rick Proudly served in the United States Marine Corps. Rick was a 36-year member and Past Master of the Norfolk Union Lodge of Masons in Randolph. He also served as Sr.Grand Deacon and District Deputy Grand Master of the 8th Masonic District, of the Grand Lodge of Masons, of Massachusetts. He was also a member of Taleb Grotto, Randolph Lodge of Elks, Amvets, VFW and The American Legion. All are welcome to memorial calling hours Thursday, July 29 from 4 to 7 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home 850 North Main St. Brockton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to American Cancer Society.
