Richard J. Dube, 77, of Brockton, passed away peacefully at home on January 4, 2024. Born Boston, he was the son of the late Claude and Edna Dube. A retired letter carrier, Richard was an active member of Knights of Columbus Cardinal Spellman Council #347 in Whitman, where he played on their cribbage team and was a bingo volunteer. He enjoyed NASCAR, wrestling, and playing cribbage.
Richard was the beloved father of Dawn Dube (Daniel Newell) of Brockton; loving grandfather of Phillip Dube (Jennifer Holman) and Matthew Flaherty, all of Brockton; great-grandfather of Mercedes and Ella; brother of Joseph Dube and his wife Sally of East Bridgewater; and an uncle of many.
All are welcome to calling hours Tues., Jan. 9th from 4-7 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Private committal. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Knights of Columbus (https://www.kofc.org/secure/en/donate/index.html).
A celebration of Dick's life will be held on Saturday, January 13th from 12-4 p.m. at the Polish White Eagles, 40 Emerson Ave., Brockton.
