Ricardo I. “Rick” Engerman, 87, of Stoughton, died June 10, 2020. Born in Boston, he was the son of the late Isaiah and Gertrude Engermann. Rick worked at the Health Spa at the Sydney Hill Country Club in his early years. He then went to American Airlines where he was a Sky Cap. Rick went on to Delta Airlines and continued as a Sky Cap. He had a wonderful sense of humor and loved working on the CURB and making money. Delta Airlines dismantled their Sky Caps and he went to work in the Delta Airlines Air Freight Department of Logan Airport for over 15 years before retiring. He later opened and operated Engermann’s Flower Shop in Boston for 13 years. He was an excellent cook and enjoyed fitness, shooting pool, fishing and gardening. Rick's favorite saying was “YA-DIG”. Rick was the beloved husband of Beverley A. (Teasley) Wood-Engerman; loving father of Craig R. Engerman and his wife Michelle of Randolph; stepfather of Camille Wood-Young of Boston; grandfather of Craig Engerman, Janelle Engerman, Ebony Wood-Ibiloye and her husband Ganiu, Calvin Young, and Christopher Young; great-grandfather of Ariana Engerman, Taj Ibiloye, and Tariq Ibiloye; brother of Jimmy Engermann of Raynham, Rupert Engermann of Wareham, Grace Pina of Roxbury, Leover Neals of CT, and the late Valdimoar Engermann, Elvita Montgomery, and Viola James; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to his visitation Monday, June 22 from 10-11 a.m. and his funeral service at 11 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton followed by burial at Forest Hills Cemetery in Boston.
