Remy St. Charles, 73, of Brockton, passed away at home on December 27, 2020. Born in Damemary, Haiti, he was the son of the late Camille and Ludia (Cazille) St. Charles. Remy immigrated to the U.S., living in New York for several years before settling in the Boston area. He was a dedicated father, working endlessly to care for and provide a higher education to all six of his beloved children. Remy was a skilled auto mechanic, owning an auto repair shop in Haiti for many years and then working for various shops in New York and Massachusetts until his retirement. He was a quiet man and enjoyed life’s simple pleasures like watching T.V.
Remy was the devoted father of Esther Fitzgerald and her husband Kevin of Brockton, James St. Charles of Haiti, Irma St. Charles of Haiti, Nathalie St. Charles of Randolph, Renaldo St. Charles of Haiti, and Recaldy St. Charles of Haiti; and a loving grandfather of many. He also leaves many dear extended family members.
All are welcome to his funeral service on Friday, January 8, 2021 at 11 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, with visitation in the funeral home beginning at 10 a.m. (limited occupancy) Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery. Face masks and social distancing required.
