Raude Prince Obituary

Raude (Osias) Prince, 66, of Randolph, Massachusetts, passed away on November 17, 2022 after a long and arduous battle with Alzheimer’s disease. Raude, known to many as RoRo, was born on April 28, 1956 to Ernest Osias and Amalia Charles in Gonaïves, Haiti. Through her calm, compassionate and nurturing demeanor as the eldest child Raude took on a mother-like figure to her siblings. If you asked anyone to describe Raude, the words “warm hearted” were often mentioned. This is no doubt how she attracted the attention of her first love and future husband Alix Prince.

As a young woman Raude took on the challenge of coming to America and forging a new life, becoming a wife, mother and often working two jobs. She educated herself and worked hard attaining the position of a Spinal Cord Nursing Tech at The VA hospital. A post she was deeply proud of; Raude never left a person or a patient she cared for without a lasting imprint on their hearts. She would often refer to her patients as “her boys” showing that no matter how old one was, Raude was a mother to all.

It was not all work for Raude though, she enjoyed the simplistic pleasures in life. Her favorite activities involved gathering with family, singing, and partaking in her favorite ice cream, a flavor not unique to many but special to Raude -- vanilla. Like vanilla, Raude lived a very simple life filled with many happy moments, sprinkled with moments of fulfillment.

In Matthew 18:3 it reads “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven" and childlike she was, the mother figure with a playful heart, caring demeanor, poised elegance and a childlike innocence that was the forefront of who she was.

Raude is survived by her siblings Frantz Cambronne, Samuel Osias, Marie Andre (Osias) Adeniyi, Marie Michelle Osias, Ernest Osias, Betty Cambronne, Tony Osias, Lunie Osias, and Anastasia (Osias) Amasa, her son Bern Kelly Prince, her daughter Sheina Prince-Eugene, her grandson Marcovany Rauvan Eugene II and her granddaughter Symir Brooklynn Eugene, her father Ernest Osias Sr. and stepmother Marie Valery, and several nieces and nephews.
