Raoul Dufour, 80, of Brockton, passed away on March 25, 2026. Born in Cerca-la-Source, Haiti, he was the son of the late Jeanty and Claire (Simeon) Dufour. Raoul immigrated to the United States in 1985, settling in Massachusetts, where he created a home full of love and security for his family.
He worked at South Shore Hospital in Weymouth for over 15 years until his retirement. Raoul’s easy going nature and joyous sense of humor brought lifelong connections and friendships. He was an avid sports fan and especially enjoyed soccer and football.
His passing has left a great void, but his legacy of kindness will endure.
Raoul was the beloved husband of the late Eveline “Rose” (Toussaint) Dufour for almost 41 years until her passing in January 2026; cherished father of Carine Dufour, Caroline Dufour, Julie Dufour, and Ralph Dufour and his wife Celisa, all of Brockton; devoted grandfather of Bryon, Yani, Antonio “Jr”, Ralph Jr. “RJ”, and Caiden; dear brother of Andre Dufour and family, Bernadette Maitre, Angelique Daniel and family, and Hermite Dufour and family; close brother-in-law of Pierre Maitre; and an uncle of Raynald Hogu, Joel Hogu, Michael Maitre, Yve Dufour, Robert Dufour, and Evenique Dufour.
All are welcome to his wake service on Monday, April 6th from 6-8 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, his funeral from Waitt Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 7th at 9:30 a.m., funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton and burial at Melrose Cemetery, 88 North Pearl St., Brockton.
