RaeAnn (Walker) Thompson, 74, of Brockton for over 50 years, passed away peacefully at home on August 3, 2026, surrounded by her family. A native of Boston, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Ann L. (Cressey) Walker. She worked in local passenger transportation for many years.
The glue of her family, RaeAnn always spoke her mind, but was endless in her love to her family, they were her world. She had an open-door policy and anyone who was blessed to be there never left hungry. Her favorite hobbies included playing bingo and Scrabble.
As RaeAnn always spoke, “I love you more”.
RaeAnn was the beloved wife of Thomas D. Thompson for 34 years; loving mother of Michael Chandler (Jennifer) of Taunton, Melanie Chandler Richardson of Taunton, and Foster Chandler (Sarsha) of Plymouth; cherished grandmother of Erin, Devin, Liam, Katelyn, Matthieu, Derek, Justine, Haley, Constance, and Foster; great-grandmother of Makaliee, Asher, Aden, Hayden, Arianna, Carson, and Jameson; sister of Barbara, Ronald, David, and Robert; and an aunt of many nieces and nephews.
Following cremation, all are welcome to calling hours on Friday, August 14th from 3-6 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to Old Colony Hospice.
