Pridieu Thoyo, 69, of Brockton, passed away unexpectedly on June 24, 2020. Born in Limbe, Haiti, he was the son of the late Louis Thoyo and Marie Rose Gedeon. “Thoyo” was a dedicated family man and took great pride in teaching and sharing his love of music with his children, including the art of DJing. He was a talented photographer and worked as an audio/visual technician for PSAV for 15 years until retiring. He had worked for a printing company for many years prior. Thoyo enjoyed sharing a laugh or two and had a gift for storytelling, capable of keeping a well captivated audience. He will be greatly missed and forever cherished. Pridieu was the beloved husband of Resia (Bien Aime) Thoyo for over 31 years; dedicated father of Jelotte Turene and her husband Marc Arthur Raymond, Tania Thoyo, Steven Thoyo and his wife Valentina, Sophia Thoyo, and Sony Thoyo; loving grandfather of Catherina Raymond, Celena Raymond Leconte, Maximus Raymond, Adam Thoyo, Emma Marie Thoyo, and Neissa Thoyo; great-grandfather of 1; brother of Marie Carmel Chale, affectionately known as “Solange”, Yves Serge DeRose, Fritznel Eden, and Myrtha Dorsainvil; and an uncle of many nieces and nephews. All are welcome to visitation on Saturday, July 11th from 7:30-9 a.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton, followed by a 9:30 a.m. funeral Mass in Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton, and burial at Melrose Cemetery.
