Polla Isnardy

Polla Isnardy, 87, of Avon, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her family on September 14, 2024. Born in Plateau Central, Lascahobas, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Charite Etheart and Marguerite Isnardy. Polla enjoyed traveling between the United States and Haiti for many years before settling in Massachusetts in 1995.

Polla was a skilled seamstress for many years before retiring and enjoyed cooking and dancing. She was devoted to God and church and was a longtime communicant of Christ the King Parish. Her kindness and love for others had no bounds. Family and strangers alike were always treated with respect and care, there wasn’t anything she wouldn’t do to help others. Polla was a great example to her family and her legacy of love and faith will continue for generations to come.

Polla was the wife of the late Reynold Honore; devoted mother of Yves Joseph Honore and his wife Elda of Hyde Park, Marie Renelle Honore Kadima Pelissier and her husband Fritznel Pelissier of Avon, Maryse I. Simon and her husband Pierre M. Simon of New York, and Marie Emeline Pierre-Pierre of Dominican Republic; cherished grandmother of Patrick Jean-Brice, Yves Junior Honore, Zadina Kadima, Yvelyne Honore, Adha Kadima, Jennyfire Pierre-Louis, Paola M. Hector, Judex Junior Pierre-Louis, Zadih Junior Lukusa Kadima, Jonathan P. Simon, Mahamma Germain, and Joshua C. Simon; loving great-grandmother of Leilani, Nathania, Nathan, Valentina, Zechariah, Safiyah, Anna, Jeunevieve, Jacob, Hadassa, Seth, Oliver, Abigaïl, and Kylo; dear sister of Pauline Toussaint, Rosanna Honore, and the late Adolph Guiteau, Mauricia Guiteau, and Enide Millien; and an aunt of several generations of nieces and nephews.

All are welcome to her funeral Mass on Saturday, October 5th at 10 a.m. at Christ the King Parish, 54 Lyman St., Brockton with viewing in the church beginning at 9 a.m. Burial to follow at Melrose Cemetery, 88 N. Pearl St., Brockton. Live streaming of Polla’s funeral will be available.
