With great sadness, we announce the passing of Philomene Similien Pierre, 69, of Avon, who peacefully passed away on January 23, 2025. Born in Cap-Haitien, Haiti, she was the daughter of the late Masillon Pierre and Rosemarie Joasil.
Philomene was the beloved wife of Michel Similien for 50 years, and a devoted mother to her children: Ruben Similien of Haiti, Joseph Similien of Orlando, FL, Soline Similien of Haiti, Islande Similien and her husband Alex Guerrier of New York, Emmanuel Similien and his wife Judeline of Orlando, FL, Michel Fils Similien and his wife Emily of Quebec, Canada, Romelda Saintil and her husband Samuel of Avon, and Dacelin Pierre of Boston. She was a cherished grandmother to many, whose love and guidance will forever be remembered.
Philomene was a woman of warmth, kindness, and strength, who touched the hearts of all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the countless lives she impacted, and she will be deeply missed by her family, friends, and community.
A visitation will be held on Sunday, February 2nd from 10-11 a.m., followed by a funeral service at 11 a.m. at Brockton Temple Seventh-Day Adventist Church, 235 Court St., Brockton, MA 02302. Private committal. Live streaming of Philomene’s funeral will be available at www.waittfuneralhome.com.
