Phillip F. Pantano, 93, a lifelong resident of Brockton, passed away August 16, 2024. He was the son of the late Pasquale and Phyllis (Pezzano) Pantano. A barber by trade, Phil worked at Kenmore Square in Boston until he was drafted. After serving honorably in the Army during the Korean War he took over his Dad’s barber shop Shape-Up in Brockton at 195½ Crescent St. Phil enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Florida, Aruba and St. Maarten, and touring the U.S. in a 4-cylinder red VW camper. Phillip was the beloved husband of Barbara J. (Wolff)(Qualter) Pantano since 1981and they shared a blended family: he was loving father of Phillip Pantano and his wife Ann of Rockland, Michael Pantano and his wife Linda of East Bridgewater, Tina Rogers and her husband Ken of Hyannis, and Adriana Pantano of Plymouth; stepfather of Mary Smithson of Florida, Thomas Qualter and his wife Robin of Ohio, and the late Michael Qualter; grandfather and great-grandfather of many; brother of Patricia Carrero and her late husband Robert of Philadelphia and the late Jennie Pantano; and an uncle of several nieces and nephews. All are welcome to calling hours Wed. August 21st from 8:30 to 10 a.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St. Brockton, his funeral Mass at 10:30 a.m. at Our Lady of Lourdes Church, 439 West St. Brockton and burial at Calvary Cemetery.
