Pelayo Castillejo Melgarejo

Pelayo Castillejo Melgarejo, 62, of Randolph, passed away on May 27, 2024 after a courageous battle with cancer. Born in Yauya, Ancash, Peru, he was the son of the late Florencio Castillejo Torres and Felicita Melgarejo Montesinos. Pelayo immigrated to the United States five years ago and has been employed by La Scala Ristorante in Randolph since that time.

Pelayo was the beloved father of Morelia Castillejo of Miami, FL; loving grandfather of Emma; dear brother of Maria Castillejo of Peru, Bertha Castillejo of Peru, Maximo Castillejo of Randolph, Leonidas Castillejo of Randolph, Felix Castillejo of Peru, Pedro Castillejo of Peru, Sonia Castillejo of Randolph, and Norma Delfin of Sharon; and a cherished uncle of many nieces and nephews.

Family and friends are welcome to his wake service on Friday, May 31st from 6-9 p.m. at Waitt Funeral Home, 850 N. Main St., Brockton. Burial will take place in his home country Peru. Live streaming of Pelayo’s service will begin at 7 p.m.
