Pearl E. (Burt) Nelson

Pearl E. (Burt) Nelson, 92, of West Bridgewater, native of Brockton, passed away on January 18, 2021. She was the daughter of the late Fred E. and Florence (Peterson) Burt. Married for over 70 years, Pearl was the wife of the late Frank W. Nelson Jr.; beloved mother of Sandra O’Brien of North Carolina, Donald Nelson and his wife Leschia of Brockton, Robert Nelson and his wife Michelle of West Bridgewater, Sharon Peacock of West Bridgewater, Frank C. Nelson and his wife Ilda of Bridgewater, and the late Margaret Spagnolo. Pearl was a loving grandmother to 14 grandchildren and great-grandmother to 13 great-grandchildren.

Pearl loved all crafts, and was especially fond of ceramics, drawing, and painting. She was actively involved in the local Senior Center-Council on Aging and spent thousands of volunteer hours helping the Senior Center. Pearl received several acknowledgements and thankful awards for her dedicated volunteerism.

All are welcome to memorial calling hours on Tuesday, January 26th from 4-7 p.m. in Waitt Funeral Home, 850 North Main St., Brockton. Private spring burial at Coweeset Cemetery, Brockton.
